Slight Case of Insanity

Being new to this whole blogging thing, I am not quite sure what the etiquette is for posting or even what topics are deemed popular or correct to post about.  I had a journal as a kid. Yes, a good old fashioned  flowery-patterned, padlocked notebook which I wrote in (by hand with a pen, as that’s how we did it in the old days!) whenever something monumental happened in my life. Albeit monumental usually consisted of a fall out with a school friend or some crush on a boy (I had made it past the boy germs phase). These days I like to think I have a little bit more happening in my life and have experienced a fair amount since then, all of which influences my views on life and things happening around me.

I decided to start this blog because:

1. I get the feeling (from friends/family and my boyfriend) that I am quite opinionated. Possibly also very stubborn, but mostly opinionated. Writing down my uncensored opinions and posting them on the interwebs for strangers to read, comment on and, hopefully, get some degree of entertainment from, seemed like a healthy outlet.
2. Seems like all the cool kids are doing it. Figure if they can do it, then damn it, so can I!
3. Another great excuse I can use to put off studying for uni.

However, I feel the need to include a disclaimer.  The things I will be writing about I write about because I think them interesting or need to vent about them.  These posts are not for any work (or similar) purpose so I have no other motive for writing them other than sprouting off my overly emotional (and often ill-informed) opinions.  The majority of the time I speak/write before I think, so expect a number of fiery, unstructured posts.  I welcome your comments but unwarranted negativity or abuse won’t be tolerated. I make no apologies for comments made here or language used.

But, that being said, I hope you enjoy the random ramblings from my (slightly unsound) mind that I will attempt to correspond in a literate fashion. Please read and comment!
